About Becky Bell
Becky Bell obtained her extensive marketing skills and experience at a variety of positions which began with media planning at Foote Cone and Belding Advertising in Santa Monica, California prior to her move to Lake Tahoe in 1989. Becky’s career in tourism marketing commenced at the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority in 1991, followed by 16 years at Strategic Marketing Group (SMG) as the senior marketing strategist responsible for the development, management, and implementation of integrated marketing programs for several tourism related clients including Ski Lake Tahoe, Sierra Ski Marketing Council, Sonoma County, Carlsbad Convention & Visitors Bureau, California Association of Bed and Breakfast Inns, City of Atascardo, and Inyo County, to name a few.
Bell launched B2 Marketing Communications in 2007.
Bell has developed award-winning marketing campaigns, brand identities and strategic marketing programs for Tahoe Keepers, Sierra Nevada Geotourism, Colon HydroPREP Solutions, More Alive Now, and her own website, Tahoe Arts and Mountain Culture. Bell has also been retained for brand brainstorming, creative writing, technical editing, marketing program execution, and business plan composition.

Bell has authored white papers about the value of authenticity marketing, ecotourism, and the conscious traveler.
Becky is proficient at formulating long-term marketing strategies to clearly differentiate a destination, product, service or program from the competition. An early pioneer of authenticity marketing and geotourism, Bell understands that the success of any sustainable marketing program is integrating the essence of the destination or product into a strong brand identity and series of leveraged marketing tactics that clearly resonate with the target audience.
Becky holds a B.A. in Advertising/Communications from Cal State Fullerton. When she’s not developing competitive marketing strategies or working on www.TahoeCulture.com, she can be found on her mountain bike, sailboat, windsurfer or skis, or with her new puppy, Sender.
